Michelle Houchin, President of Adkisson Search Consultants has more than 30 years’ experience in the healthcare and executive recruitment industry. For more than 22-years, Michelle has shown impeccable talent in placing ideal candidates in the right cultural environment through her work with Adkisson Search Consultants, a nationwide search firm specializing in Executive, Physician, Advanced Practitioner, and Allied Health Professionals.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, IN and holds a Master’s Degree in Leadership from Walden University. Michelle is a Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE), has earned the designation of Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS), is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), and the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA). In addition, Michelle actively participates in educational curriculums through the American Medical Group Association (AMGA), and state hospital association conferences. She is a current Board Member of the American Red Cross Central and Southern Illinois Region and in addition, serves as the Co-Chair on the Board Development and Engagement Committee for the Board. Michelle held a seat on the Governing Board for the Community Cancer Center and was elected as Vice Chair of the Board of Managers. She has also received the distinguished recognition from the Rotary Foundation as a Paul Harris Fellow. Michelle is an active member in her church serving on several committees.

Shannon McKay is the Vice President of Adkisson Search Consultants, a national search firm based in Bloomington, Illinois, specializing in the placement of Executives in a variety of industries, Professors, Physicians, Dentists, and Allied Health Professionals. She has been with Adkisson Search since 2002, and her career in Executive Search and Recruitment spans over 22 years.

Before entering the healthcare recruitment field, Shannon McKay worked in recruiting Information Technology Professionals. She holds a degree in Corporate Communication and Journalism, which she earned from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois.

In addition to her role at Adkisson Search Consultants, Shannon is actively involved in various professional organizations. She serves as a Director on the Board of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Central Illinois Chapter. Within the ACHE, she is also a member of the Education Committee and chairs the Recruitment and Outreach Committee. Shannon has received the American College of Healthcare Executives Regent’s Award, which recognizes her leadership, innovation, and creative management within the organization.

Shannon is a member of the Medical Group Manager’s Association (MGMA) and has earned the Principles of Practice Management (PPMC) credential as well as the Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) designation. Additionally, she actively networks and participates in the American Medical Group Association (AMGA) and state hospital association conferences.
